Manufacturing Performance Days gathers industry decision makers in Tampere

Manufacturing Performance Days gathers the top management of the manufacturing industry, technology decision makers, experts, and technology and service providers from around the world in Tampere June 5-7.
The industry-reforming summit, Manufacturing Performance Days, taking place in June in Tampere, focuses on the theme “Sustainable and Resilient Growth”.
The event is organized by 65 partners and 700 guests are coming, mainly from Finland and other parts of Europe.
Solutions to the future challenges and opportunities of the manufacturing industry, which are based on automation, electrification, batteries, circular economy, and reuse, are presented in the panel sessions, exhibition area and the side events.
In the exhibition area there will be a robot that creates an improved version of itself. Noux Node, ABB Robotics, B&R Automation and Visual Components present a demo based on a real customer case, where the ABB GoFa robot performs a task and at the same time its digital twin develops and updates better software for the robot.
On Monday and Wednesday during MPD, partners organize side events, where topics include, for example, the human-oriented industrial Metaverse and how industrial companies already utilize material-additive manufacturing, i.e. 3D printing. The side event organized as an Austrian-Finnish collaboration focuses on resource-efficient and cleaner production.
As usual, MPD also offers opportunities for factory visits in Tampere, which this year are the Fastems in Lahdesjärvi, and the Sandvik factory in Myllypuro.
Dr. Minna Lanz, Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Automation at Tampere University is the Scientific Co-chair of Manufacturing Performance Days.
